Beginning with piano lessons at age 4 and voice training at 6, Lisa
has sung in every style including: opera, musical theater, jazz, pop,
rock, R&B, and country and her voice has been featured on commercials,
television and film. She has recorded and performed with Frank Zappa
and "Weird" Al Yankovic, has sung in Bulgarian style on
"Xena: Warrior Princess" and has performed with the Pasadena
Symphony. In the 1980's, her self-titled album "Lisa Popeil"
was a Billboard Top Album Pick.

The
Voiceworks Studio has a full digital recording studio, as well as
a performance area with stage, lights, sound system and video. Her
private students range in age from 5-80 and include beginners to
celebrities in film, TV, musical theater, and recording worlds.
High-profile clients can be assured of anonymity.
Lisa
is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing),
the Voice Foundation, VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association),
AFTRA (American Federation of TV and Radio Artists), and is a writer-publisher
member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers & Publishers).

| Lisa's
private instruction covers technique, performance coaching, speech
work, voice-over coaching for animation voices, narration, dialects,
broadcasting, voice projection, voice preservation and on-site coaching
(on-set or in-studio).
As
the "singing guru", Lisa is a frequent radio talk show
guest and gives mini voice lessons on the phone over the airwaves.
She has been featured in "Los Angeles", "Variety",
and "The Hollywood Reporter" magazines and has twice been
a guest on the "Home & Family" Show on Lifetime Cable.
Lisa
is a member of the famous Popeil family, daughter of Sam (S.J.)
Popeil, creator of the Veg-O-Matic and Pocket Fisherman and sister
to Ron Popeil, whose many products include the Ronco Food Dehydrator,
Popeil Pasta Machine, and the Showtime Rotisserie. Lisa has turned
her passion in another direction: helping people discover and develop
their ability to sing. |
